The Convention Center’s Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) is well underway. With over $300M in allocated funds, the Convention Center’s Capital Delivery Team is responsible for managing a project that will transform Louisiana’s economy. CIP has already brought a wide range of upgrades, from Linear Park, a 7.5 acre greenspace that runs along the main building, to the replacement of Convention Center Boulevard. These improvements also present big opportunities for our SEB/DBE community. Now more than ever, it’s time to be certified as a Small and Emerging Business.

Once all aspects of the project are complete, Convention Center visitors from near and far will be astounded by a highly modern facility that pays tribute to New Orleans’s rich history. Perhaps the most exciting development is Le Ponts, a new ballroom/meeting space that is being constructed between the two bridge spans of the Crescent City Connection. With sweeping views of the Mississippi River from a newly added third floor, this space will help meeting planners craft unforgettable experiences.
